For over 30 years I have travelled the length and breadth of NZ, and overseas, entertaining and inspiring students and adults alike. I am a Master Storyteller, my skill honed by thousands of performances. The books I write, 20 at last count, are beloved by my readers for their wit and adventure. I incorporate art into everything I do. I illustrate books, paint fine art, draw cartoons, paint murals. I share my love of writing and art in creative workshops, inspiring thousands of students and teachers alike with a new sense of belief in their own abilities to create. I am a motivational speaker and have addressed thousands of groups as diverse as corporate teams, church assemblies, non-profit organisations, educationalists, special interest groups and service clubs. I draw on my own life story to inspire - for I have been a minister, a factory worker, a creative director, a radio broadcaster, a ranger, a graphic artist, a storyteller, a mural painter and an author.
